This is my Humira injection, I give myself this injection every other Tuesday. I also do methotrexate injections every week.

You dont want to flex any muscles when you do your injections. These are meant to be injected into fat tissue, not muscle. Squeeze a section of skin, try to get a little "fat roll" to inject into, it will hurt still, but hopefully less.

I flex my abbs when i do it and it hurts.. Am i doing it wrong?

Which disease do you have ? I have Ankylosing Spondilitis and I use the same thing but in a needle not in a pen. and how it cost ?

OMG u r so brave ! I have psoriasis and taking my first injection. Although I was on Remicade then Enbrel now on my way to use Humeria =0( Are u losing hair? Cause I know I am and it is really freezy. Take care

I am sooo freaking out!! I was on remicaide but it was causing problems with my liver...so i start the humira soon..

I don't get shots but my mom was a nurse she says wave your hand over where the alchohol is and dry it then do it. I used to get growth hormone shots all tetime.:o IT won't be then.:D Try it

Hi, thanks so much for responding. I put the Humira off a couple of days then the day I intended so ti spread it out as well. I do my Mtx on Wed and my Humira will now be every other Friday. I no longer do mtx shots, I swear the pills just don't work as well, but, I'm hoping Humira will set me free from the dark days of RA. Oddly, the day after I gave myself the shot of Humira, I woke feeling quite good, now mind, I was in a flare for months! Go figure, still doing ok, crossing fngs!

@brooklynlulu, I do my mtx on Thursdays and my humira every other Tuesday, so I guess its a bit spread out. I dont think it matters if you do them in the same day, as long as you are injecting in different areas, say one in an arm and one in a leg or your stomach. Remember not to do your injections in the same spot each time! When I first started mtx I was using the same area each time and developed scar tissue and a rash, which both went away after some time of not injecting there.

HI, thanks for sharing, I'm doing my first shot today,. I was wondering, do you do your mtx the same day ever or spread it out? I took my mtx yesterday and wondering if it's too much on my system in a 24 hour period, or maybe i"m making excuses lol

Thanks....I start humira injections soon...not looking forward to it, but I would rather do the injections than deal with all this pain! I hope u are doing well!
