Il est vrai que Bach a composé cette musique dans un but religieux, étant luthérien. Mais hormis cecy, ne pouvons-nous pas nous contenter de la musique en elle-même ? En excluant les paroles, même si en la passion selon St. Matthieu il faut en connaître quelque peu sur ce pour en comprendre davantage. Je sus pas religieux, je ne crois pas en dieu, mais pourtant c'est juste une raison comme une autre, c'était la raison de Bach, grâce à son génie mais aussi à sa confession on peut hui l'entendre !
