Hi heyitsnicole15. It didn't hurt for me but I have also seen videos where people have said it hurts. You can use ice to numb the area or ask your GI doctor or Primary Care Doctor for a numbing cream called LMX which I use now. I hope all goes well for you and you feel better on Humira!

Hi, Im thirteen and my first humeria comes in a week. You said that it didn't hurt butt i have watched other videos and they all said it hurt. Im really scared.

I suffer from severe psoriasis. i was on enbrel about a year ago but felt i started getting sick from it, so dermatologist took me off. of course my psoriasis came back to ruin my life so now we're trying Humira. i gave myself my first Humira injections today. i prefer to inject in the thighs, i feel its less painful than the stomach. my prescription is 2 shots the first time, 1 shot a week after that, than 1 shot every 2 weeks. is the same for everybody else?

I take humira and they suck so bad they hurt like a mother till the needle releases. every 2 weeks got to do but takes a hour build up courage to take the shot. cant even tell a difference if they working or not. i have crohns and as.say they run together.

Well i already solved the problem but i am really worried i didnt get a full effective dose because of this. it wouldnt be so bad but i'm halfway across the world right now and cant exactly get another one :/ i'll be home on wed or thur though so..... i hope this works

I've never had that problem. You can take the needle cap and try re-setting the needle and then trying again.

I just took my humira and the needle deployed but the plunger NEVER went down. I am really pissed because I'm out of country right now. Has anyone ever had the plunger not deploy?

I'm glad this helped. Having someone else do it for you the first couple of times will ease the fear. I found the stomach didn't hurt as bad as my thighs although your wife may find the thigh feels better. Hopefully it works for her =)

Thanks for posting this. My wife has Crohn's disease and just got Humira in the mail today to try for the first time. She wants me to give the injections, and so after reading the instructions I figured someone might have a tutorial of some sort to check out on youtube. Thanks for sharing this videooand good luck with the Crohn's.

I prefer doing my injections of Humira in the thigh. I see alot of videos with people doing it in the stomach and I tried it once AND it stung bad!! i was tramatized lol
